Im sure this is a repeated thread for advice. I am going to include what I want to do before being tood to buy another truck. The truck was a gift from my mother in law as a toy. I know the frames are different from a 4x4 so I am by passing the ifs. I am going to use 1 ton axles from a srw f350. I am seeking advice or pointer where to find a 4 link kit and what coil overs to use. Also what tranny or transfer case i can use. Hopefully this helps to not receive negative or bashing comments. Thanks in advance.
well, NOTHING is going to fit so it really don't matter what you buy, your going to have to adapt to the frame......... now on the transmission and transfer case, I assume you have a 5.4 V8, so I would get the units that bolt to that from the F150 or F250 trucks........ Then you have to build your own driveshaft - ends.
I have a second truck. 2008 F150 4x4 6" lift with 35s. I want this as a toy. I wish it had the 5.4. It is a 4.6. I could do the half ton bronco or f series front axle conversion or the 4 link set up. I am just looking for info on anyone who sells kits or has done the conversion. This is a toy not a every day driver. I know the ifs will not fit tis why I have chose the solid front axle conversion. Just looking for a few pointers not to be bashed. Thanks again
