The case is different because the bolt pattern on the rear of the engine is different. They are not interchangeable.

Yeah kind of figured that would be the case but was worth a shot...what about the pump/stator shaft off the gasser E4OD? Would that part be interchangeable with the diesel E4OD?

Yes, I believe the 460/Diesel internals are the same.

Gotcha, thanks! Have to see where the road takes me..just found out more bad news about the trans and how it's worn on another area more then normal so may just rebuild the whole thing and buy a cheap used one to run in the mean time while I rebuild and beef this one.
