Need some help!

Hello first off my truck is a 1971 so I usually cruise the older forums. Put my problem is with a newer trans so that why I'm here. I currently have a zf5 out of a 1995 f350 in it but every vehicle I own is manual so now I want to change transmissions again. I just got a 1993 e4od out of a e350 rv. Anyways when the pulled it out they were rough with it the torque converter pulled out part way and chipped the end of the input housing. My questions are what is this part called, can I run it the way it is and if not is it somewhat easy to change. Thanks abunch

Ok so I found out it's part of the frount pump. Trying to find out if just the shaft/housing is replaceable or if I can just run it as is

I would not even attempt to try to run that trans with that stator support shaft damaged like that. I would guess they dropped it by the looks of things.

At the very least, you will need to change the pump housing assembly. The transmission case needs to be on end when the pump is pulled and just so things don't fall out when the pump is out, I would stand it on end, with the case held so the output shaft is not on the ground.

If you look on YouTube, there are some videos of the pump being pulled.

By the way, do you have a stand-alone controller like a Baumann for that transmission? It is all electronic so without a controller, it will do nothing.

Why not a C6?
No need for a controller, strong as an ox & simple as a rock.

Yep, that thing got dropped or they were not just careless, but reckless getting it out and it wasn't supported, and the input caught as it dropped.

C6 is good suggestion, but no od or lockup is kind of annoying IMO. C6 with aux od is a good reliable setup though, just can't have it all with a lockup.

Thanks for all the input. Yes I'm going to buy a stand alone controller I already talked to Baumann and thats the way I'm going. I don't want to give up overdrive I have it with the zf5 and would like it with a auto. So my options are buy a new pump or return the trans and get my $300 back Still trying to decide what to do the trans has a 115000 miles on it came out of a Rv and looks to be in good shape other than the damage when removed.
