02 7.3 won't shut off.

Lately I had a couple glitches seemingly unrelated with this electrical system. Something just failed. I have two new motor craft batteries cleaned all wires/ clamps. Alternator has been tested good. The other morning I started my truck and smelt a wire burning up before I took off. Battery positive to glow plug relay was hot. Solenoid was junk so I replaced it. Still not the problem. With the battery positive hooked to the solenoid, truck will not shut off. It will shut off by key if the wire is unhooked. I do know this. When hooked up, the battery positive is feeding voltage (.4v) through a new solenoid to the pcm, thus keeping the pcm live when key goes off. Bad pcm? With the battery positive hooked up to the glow plug solenoid. There is such a large draw that the charging system cannot keep up. Wich out me on The side of the interstate at 1am as I watched my lights grow dimmer til truck stalled. U hooked the battery positive from solenoid got a jump and been fine since....however there's a major problem lying there right?

Electrical glitch Ive been having is accelerator pedal has always gone dead if I hit the throttle too quickly. Lately just barely getting on it at random moments like easing in to it going up a hill throttle will give out and if I hold it there check eng light will co e on but go off 5 seconds after I let completely off he throttle. Also I have a car 6 position always left on 4 (75hp?) for best fuel mileage check engine light on not on at any setting other than stock and high idle. Check end light is always on. Just noticed his with his new electrical pcm issue. Haven't had it hooked up to see what the code is.

I would first remove the chip. A car chip? As in for a gasser? This would be major bad juju on a diesel, and explain why your GP relay won't shut off after it times out.

Here is a picture of how the wires are connected to the GPR. If the ground and switch power is reversed, it would provide power to the PCM when in the N/O Position.

I sense bad juju with the chip, is it a chip for a gas truck/car?? If so I can bet that is the root cause of the issue…

Just started the truck ..... Shut it off .U plugged the chip. Now I lost power to fuel feed pump. And no power signal to my plow plug relay anymore. Plugged chip back in.... Still nothing. Even tho it's showing glow plug light on For 10 seconds on dash.

It's a cs 6 position chip for a 7.3 . Chip may have been only thing keeping truck running. Because now that I unplugged it, truck has no power to fuel pump or glow relay and as I turn the key in I have full into or power however I don't feel any relays kicking on for injector driver module pcm power ect....all fuses have been checked and are good.
