Sync Update 2011 F-450
I received a notice of an available update for the Sync Navigation system for my 2011 F-450. $149 for the software and maps update that promoted "improved navigation." So I jumped on it and got it installed.
My first trip was from the KOA at Sioux Falls, SD to KOA at Jackson, MN. I noticed two things about the update:
(1) There is no longer a GPS status indicator on the screen.
(2) The "improved navigation" sucks. They haven't picked up on the fact that you can't come out of the KOA at Sioux Falls and turn left to get to the interstate, because they re-constructed the interchange a few years ago and put a median on Cliff Ave. And when I got to Jackson, instead of turning left at the end of the ramp and going 1/4 mile to the KOA, it tried to route me to the right 1/4, then several miles out of the way out in the country to go around the block and come back to the KOA.
I've written Ford about this, and told them I am losing confidence in their new updated navigation software.
