Considering a Cervini Hood

Well....I got some hail damage on my 97 from a tornado that came close to the house on Monday
So it has ALOT of dings and dents on the hood, roof, and left fender. So I'll probably just get the fender fixed (you have to climb on the truck to see the roof anyway).

But instead of fixing all of the dents in the hood I'm thinking about getting a Cervini Ram Air Hood or the cowl hood, I haven't decided yet. I know a few members here have used them so I was just looking to see if there is anything I should know before buying one.

Can I use my stock hood latch?

Is it possible to use gas struts to hold it open, rather than a prop rod? If so which struts do you recommend?

Yes, stock hood latch and hinges.

You do away with the springs

It comes with a prop rod. I used a set of struts for a Ranger on mine in place of the prop
