Pulling lights ****

Probably a stupid question but is there a trick to pulling off the lights **** in the cab? I want to paint the black trim around the gauges and replace the light bulbs behind the gauges and maybe remove the blue tint screen.

Yes, there is a trick. Under the dash, on top of the switch is a button that you have to press. Press the button and pull the **** out.
Just so you know, there's also a "trick" to remove the wiper **** too. At the base of the **** is a notch, get a seal pic, paper clip, wire with a 90° bend in the end. In the notch is a spring tab. Hook the tab with the tool and pull towards you and pull on the ****.

Thanks!

Mike, once again for the win, I'll definitely look for the button tomorrow, the wiper **** must have been broken before because the **** comes right off with very little effort.

Thanks Mike. I'm going to do the same thing and would would have probably ended up physically ripping them out.

If you just CAN NOT find that button from up under that dash, after you get everything else off to remove the dash bezel pull out the **** like to turn on your headlights (battery disconnected?) and tilt out the dash bezel, that way you can SEE back in there and find it.

The button pulls the shaft out, but if you want JUST the ****, you really gotta tug on that sucker. Hard. Unreasonably hard, but it will come off.
