Well im taking the dashboard out of my 78 F150 4x4 so that i can work on some wiring, and i cant figure out how to get the Wiper and Light ***** off. Do you know how? Thanks!
the wiper **** has a small spring clip on the back of the **** that you can release with a small flat screw driver. the headlight **** is a little tricky. Take your battery cable off then pull the **** out like you are cutting the lights on. Reach your hand up under the dash and there is a little round button on top of the headlight switch that will release the **** and the rod it is on (they are one piece). I may be wrong about having to pull the **** out before you remove it but it's how i was told to do it.
Wiper ****: take a paper clip and bend a small hook on one end. On the backside of the **** is a small notch. take the hook put in the notch and pull forward. This will release the little spring clip that locks the **** to the shaft.
Light switch: Reach up under the dash. top side of the light switch is a small button, depress the button and pull the **** forward. The lights will turn on, keep pulling and the **** and shaft will come out. Gently push the **** back in to turn the lights off. If you push too hard the **** will lock back into the switch and you'll have to do it over again.
