Hi guys, been a while since I've been on. I finally went out and satisfied my old ford itch. Was given a 67 highboy from an uncle (at least I think it's a highboy with the divorced transfer case). I love it but it's going to be a longer term project with my daughters. Wanted that itch scratched harder so I went and bought a'77 f150 4x4 that's a lot closer to finished. It has a 400 with an automatic that runs great but has an exhaust leak that's driving me nuts. I'd like to put headers on if I'm going to the trouble of taking the manifolds off. I've read a lot of past posts about fitment issues. Does anyone make a quality set that will bolt in and work without problems, or are they not worth the hassle?
Found the rest of the bed trim for the '77 today at a junkyard. I'll try to get it put on in the next few days. Going to remove the racetrack trim. New Springs coming to level her out. Had a big winch on it till this morning and I think they sagged a bit over the years
Thanks. Was going to restore her with a bunch of new body panels but I'm kind of liking how it is. Might just get the rest of the truck running tight and leave the body as is.
