I bought a new Fan Clutch for my 2006 E-350 SUPER DUTY, but the cable that connects from the engine to the fan clutch is torn. I was wondering if anyone knows a part number for this female switch, or if there's a way to fix.
I had no air hammer. Mine took 2 men to remove. One person pulling on a cheater bar (3/8" x 18" socket extension) hooked into the water pump cover slot and the other pulling in the opposite direction with a fan clutch wrench. All the videos I watched made it look so easy. Mine was not.
Edit: just a note, mine was righty tighty lefty loosey.

Hmm, I've removed them several times now, and don't have a problem. O'Reilly's has the tools to loan. Once I have the pulley held with a bar through the slot, and the nut wrench in place, I give it a good whack with a heavy hammer and they've always broken loose.
Ingersoll Rand Professional air hammers (BPMs don't matter --- stroke, piston, etc DO) -- never a problem. Earlier AIRCAT, but then started having problems -- don't buy their CHIT anymore.
Also, use the "blue wrench" before hand (if even necessary)-- heat works wonders on everything. Not sure why anyone is having a problem removing these (e.g. two monkeys with a 8' cheater bar) --- the fan install is not a RED LOCTITE / BRUTUS FORCE foot pounds installation ---spec is only 114 Ft Lbs -- not really much at all (I work on other stuff in the > 700 Ft Lbs arena and always reset the torque wrenches to ZERO for storage).
Shouldn't really be using Loctite most of the time anyhow --- throws off the torque numbers 15-25%
I use 7.3L mechanical clutches on all 6.0Ls, but if you want that 6.0 Fan Elec Connector (8-cavity female plug) I believe it's
