I've searched the forum extensively and googled the hell out of it, but I wasn't able to find anything on how to adjust the striker on the pass side barn doors.
The lower striker is the problem, theres about 3/8" of play at the bottom of the door, the top locks up tight. Because of the play in the door closest to the rear wheel the door closest to the front wheel doesn't close all the way and if I turn left the dome lights come on.
Funny you ask this... I just tried adjusting mine two days ago for a similar issue (but mine doesn't always lock up at the top). I've read that the strikers are adjustable, but I removed the upper striker and the holes for the bolts in the body are not elongated or oversized, thus no adjustment to be had. I didn't remove the bottom, so maybe any adjustment is available there? (mine is a 2006, there may be different configurations for different year models?)
I did find that the retaining screw on the door for the locking mechanism was loose, so I tightened that up and it appears to have helped. I plan to look at the bottom striker if the issue resurfaces.
Edit: One other thought for your situation (if the strikers aren't adjustable), is the door "twisted" in the opening? In essence, could you loosen the top hinge and shift the door "out" at the top, then repeat for the bottom to shift "in"? That might "twist" the door enough to bring the bottom corner in to allow the front door to latch?
I fixed my problem. I think I did it right...
I loosened the torx bolts and the whole plate was able to slide back and forth. Moved it to where I needed and tightened back down.
Doors shut and latch firmly now.
