Yes, I have a tip. Do not over tighten the bolts, you are screwing them into aluminum and they will stripe real easy. Ask me how I know, lol. Also, use some anti-seize on the threads. I can't remember the torque but its really not necessary to get them real tight because of the rotation of the gear it draws the hpop into the timing cover. Not a bad job, good luck!

Do I need the 1 1/8" socket to get the IPR out or can I get to it with a wrench?

That's very good advice, especially to someone who broke the fuel pump off in the block because I was pulling on the banjo bolt too hard with the wrench... (That's what happens when you take the supporting bolts off first and the bolt is stuck)

It can be done with a wrench or you can go to Home Depot or lowes and get a shower socket Lot cheaper

The worst part is getting that damn gear bolt cover back on without smearing your rtv everywhere

A sears deep dish socket works good too. Some just aren't long enough.

You can also buy a kit from Riffraff or make your own that places steel inserts into the front cover. Easy to do then there is no worry to stripping the front cover threads. Iirc kit comes with drill bit, new thread cutting die, inserts. Also helps if you have a short Li ion drill as the intake plenum passenger side is in the way, short drill just fits. Well worth the effort as the aluminum front cover is easy to strip.
