Identification help
This tag is attached to my firewall, can anybody tell me what it means. I have a 79(?) F100 / 150 currently with 300 I6 and a T18 4sd (not original) just trying to work out what I actually have.

That's the firewall buck tag. It was used by assembly line workers to install the right parts on the truck during manufacture. Most of the codes can't be decoded while some can be. There's no chart to decode these like there is for the warranty plate.

Thanks for the help on both of my questions Mike. I am trying to sort out as much as I can what I have. The door plate (screwed on not riveted) says F150 351 automatic. The cowl emblems say F100 and I have a 300 I6 with T18. It is 4x2 and there are 5 leaves in the rear. I need to see if I can find the frame vin.
