Ok, now I'm at another stump. Number dummy, I need your help again. My blower motor fan is not sold at parts stores either. The one they sold me, the diameter is smaller and the fins are facing the other direction...
So, I'm pretty much done with the sanden conversion AC kit. My truck has been at the AC shop for about 4 days. I would have picked it up today but the shop owner calls me and says it's blowing ice cold,But he feels heat mixing in with the cold air. He said he will look into what is causing that. I replace everything in that truck involving the AC. From the condenser under the hood, to all the way to the switches in the dash.( except most of the original wiring) I have came down to 2 things I maybe did wrong. I hooked up the lines going into the heater core backwards. And the valve is not operating the way it should be? That valve or motor? That has a vacuum hose Hooked up to it ,stops the flow of radiator fluid going to the heater core, unless your swipe the switch on the dash to heat to get heat?.(is this how it works?) or the other less likely reason is that I didn't insulate the heater core and evaporator core enough to prevent them effecting each other's temperture. What do you guys think? Any responses are welcome. In the case of anything else being wrong, I'm pretty sure everything is right where it's suppose to be.
Thanks
Well, unfortunately my truck's AC is only blowing 77-75 degrees. After two shops and about an extra 250$ of shop bills I'm still not getting anywhere. They both say drive the truck to classic air auto and see what they say. Could there be a sensor or something else that is keeping the AC from dropping below 75 degrees. I really need yall's help in this one. The wife is not liking how much money I have been blowing on the truck. If she only knew how much more money I have actually spent. Lol. But please of anybody has some insight or point me in the right direction. New parts have been replaced already. So everything is completely new.
Thanks Kregger for the replies. Yes the little door by in front of the evaporator opens and closes as it should. Right now I have the heater core bypassed to prevent hot and cold mixture. And I replaced my fan clutch about 2-3 years ago. Still working perfectly fine. 6 blade fan also
Well I'm out of suggestions, like you said - it's a new system end-to-end and sounds like all the parts are working related to it. I'm just wondering if the PAG oil type/amount is correct with the R134 and if the dryer was exposed to too much open air before it was hooked up... but those are straws I'm grasping for.
Were the 2 shops AC specialist or a "fixall" ? I know the wife won't be happy but the classic air folks might be the next stop.
Yeah I appreciate the help. Maybe the oil could be the problem. I'll ask the technician if he checked for the pag oil. I appreciate all the suggestions. I hope you AC holds up nice and cold for years to come Kregger, lol... I'm envious
