Here is a quick question. Hoping someone will see it here and give me an answer. I posted it under my other thread but I'm not sure that anyone who isn't following that thread will see it.
Hoping someone here sees this post and can answer my question. Truck is home and cleaned up. motor is cleaned up with ne oil and cylinders have been soaking in trans fluid. Want to see if she will start up so I am going to put some fuel into the vent on the carb to fill the bowl and pull the fuel line into the pump and run it into a can of fuel.
Unfortunately when Doc passed away he asked that all his keys be buried with him. (Not sure why). They thought they kept a set but they are not for this truck. Gonna run a hot to the positive of the coil and jump the solenoid but do I need to run a hot to the white wire on the ignition module?
X2 on just replace the ignition switch that way you do not burn up anything. Tap the 3 notched ring on the outside outer edge of the switch with a flat tip in the loosening direction then thread the outer collar all the way off. Then up plug the electrical connector and plug in the new one, in stall the rest in reverse order.
Just wanted to see if it will run but I appreciate your opinions. For anyone who wants to know the answer, you only have to jump the coil. Fired right up and runs strong!!!
