No Horn from Steering Wheel

2010 Expedition Limited - Fuse 24 is good and horn works when you lock doors and when you hit alarm button, but does not work when you depress the center of steering wheel. Is there a horn relay somewhere? Cruise Control and all other buttons on starring wheel work fine.

k9education, thank you for the drawings. "Non-Serviceable" horn relay is a bummer. Going by Ford this morning, still under my extended warranty, and see what they can do. Will post my outcome. Not going to play with the airbag or steering wheel. Above my mechanical expertise.

If you have the "premium" extended warranty (equivalent to a CPO warranty) the horn should be covered.

I do have the Premium Warranty. Expires next May. Had to leave it and I just received a call that it was ready. Don't know the problem, but was told it was inside the Expedition. Will pick it up tomorrow and post the fix.

The wiring circuit/wire SRH01(horn) open between connector C228OB(Fuse Smart Junction Box) and connector C218A(connector going to Clockspring). Repaired broken wire. How it got broken is anyones guess. It is the yellow/red wire on the PDF that k9education provided. Thanks again for your help. http://docdro.id/0yxsogY link to pdf

Strange that would break. Glad it's sorted anyway.

Absolutely agree with you, k9education. There had never been any work under the dash and when I checked the fuse under the passenger side footwell there was actually a small spider web and dust on the fuse panel cover. I had to laugh a little because I thought I kept the truck(wish it was an F250 Super Duty) pretty clean. When I talked to the tech he assured me the clockspring had been fine. His opinion was that it had been a potential problem in the harness since it was built, but unusual. I now will check my horn more frequently. I am not that patient of a driver but I am not a horn user like some drivers. When you check your tires and lights be sure and test your horn. Lesson learned.

I just picked up a 2010 Expedition. Had a couple minor things I've fixed and am pretty happy. Just noticed horn does not work in steering wheel. Works with locking vehicle, and TPMS learning. Cruise control is fine. Fuse is fine.

It looks like the link above (http://docdro.id/0yxsogY) is missing. I have inspection coming up in a month or so and need to get the horn working. I don't even mind a separate switch for now. If I was to put a switch in to the fuse block, could I just have one side to ground and the other to the fuse? Any other ideas?

Thanks
