5R110 Odd Noise
Heard a ticking noise when you roll the rear drive shaft. I pulled the t-case checked it, it is smooth and quiet, ticking noise is not in the t-case. Grabbed the output shaft on the trans with it in neutral. Rolled the it found the ticking noise in the trans. Any one else seen/heard this issue?
The noise is like a plastic tab riding on a splined shaft rotate=tick
Truck is 2010 F-350 4x4 v10 auto and 271F T-case 98k miles on it.

Thanks Mark! I am glad to hear it is normal for that trans. Do the 03/04 5R110 have a different clutch setup in them? I used my 03 psd to compare the 2 and it is quite when rolling the drive shaft

I know this is an older post, but I've had the same noise in mine and it's been driving me crazy. I've been doing research but haven't found anything until now. It's a relief to know that nothing is wrong with the transmission.
