Clutch making funny noise. Need HELP!!!

I just replaced the clutch in my 89' f-150 4x4. When the clutch is not pushed in it makes a low grinding like noise. The noise goes away when i push the clutch in.
What could be the problem?

Sound kinda like a 5gal bucket laying on its side about half full of gravel spinning?

Regardless of the actual sound heard I suspect the trans input shaft bearing is shot. The input shaft spins with no load with the trans in neutral with the clutch pedal out. Pushing and holding the pedal in drastically slows down or stops the input shaft from spinning stopping or reducing the level of noise the bearing produces.

Mine does the same thing. Noise from tranny. Stops when the vehicle is still and I push in the clutch and put it in gear. Then it starts again.

Does it in neutral when I'm stopped.

How long do we have before it's shot?
