changing transmission filter and fluid

Upon removing the transmission pan I found a little plastic piece floating in the fluid. It looks similar to a bobber. It has an o ring around it and I cannot find anywhere it is supposed to go.

changing transmission filter and fluid

that piece if from production. it is where the trans dipstick tube is. assemblers just push tube in and plastic piece falls into pan.save it for later projects or toss it.
