No electrical info

2012 F-350 6.7 - 2 battery's , 2 alternators and no electrical guage or charging status ?
I consider this odd!

same with 2012 F-250, 6.2L gas, 1 battery, 1 alternator.

I dislike dumb lights..

I installed an analog voltage gauge.

How often does one look at the voltage or amp meter even when they have one in their cluster? Rarely. You are more apt to notice a warning lamp/light or CED/SEL than see the gauge with it shows low voltage.

You can get an engine monitor such as the Edge Insight CTS/CTS2 and select the PID for battery voltage. You could also use ForeScan or TorquePro with a smart phone and bluetooth/wireless OBDII plug-in.

Ditto on the gauge, I spent 20 years in the navy running main propulsion and electric plant, when a trouble light comes on many times it's to late or there was a catastrophic failure.

Are not volt gauges that plug into to the power port (cigarette lighter) widely available? They are digital, not analog/needle.

Yep. Good idea to keep an eye on them. Can also make a few baseline measurements, and then see how the figures might change over time.

That's s nice small guage adapter. It would be nice to see if it's over charging or under charging.

Yeah, they are only like $10 delivered. Reasonably accurate too.
