Fuel Filter Change
Lets get to work.
First charge the batteries.
Next turn key on and listen for pump sounds on the frame under the driver.
Now some questions.
Did you put a new O-ring on both caps and apply some clean engine oil?
The lower cap can be a bear. Are you sure that it is seated? If not you can
pull air into the system and make all sorts of misses and smoke.
You might want to start with taking the lower cap off and checking the
O-ring and filter to make sure all is well. Screw it back in and torque it to
18 Ft/Lb. BTW you should see 2 O-rings one for the cap and one on the filter
end. Oil both and the one on the cap is the only one that you can replace.
Also up inside the filter you may see a black seal oil on that won't hurt.
Snap the filter back into the cap and start the threads to engage and be sure
that you don't cross-thread. Torque cap to 18 Ft/Lb.
