Oil filter cap.

Would y'all absolutely not buy a truck with the wrong filter cap. An 07 with only 54k miles. Or just change it immediately?

I would have no problem purchasing if everything checks out.

You can always pop the cap and at least verify a MC filter is not coupled with the tall cap.

I figured about the air filter too but wasn't sure. Glad you brought that up. Body looks great to me.

Mine had the tall cap,and wix filter. I would pop the cap as was said above to verify they didnt use a stock MC filter to be sure all was OK.

I look at it this way if it used as soon as I have it home it will get an oil change.
So may as well plan on that along wit the cap and filter.

I agree, check the filter to be sure it matches. That Banks air filter looks good, don't know how they perform, though.

What are the disconnected wires over there by the brake fluid reservoir? Mine has that and I always wondered what they went to.

Take a good look at the degas cap/bottle. Looks like a little coolant around the cap. Could be nothing, but don't dismiss it. Hopefully, it's just time for a new cap.

If I bought used with no service records, all of the fluids and filters would get changed so that I had a base number and date to start with and ALL filters would be OEM.

No problem here. Just get the dealer to put the correct cap on. However, I would take it out for a test drive, get it up to OP temp and dog it. If HGs are an issue, it will puke. Check to see if ARP studs are installed. Easy to do just look at the head bolts in back of the air box. I would keep the Banks air box.

Mentioned the cap to the salesman and he said it's because of the lift. I just left it at that and said I'll do it myself when I get it home.

Drove it around for about 30 min. Temps stayed close to each other. Everything seemed ok.

Pretty sure no ARP studs

Some salesmen can be so stupid and they do anything to sell a car/truck.

Well yeah, they're salesmen. Not mechanics, and many not even auto enthusiasts. If you think that's bad go lookin at RV's. Alot of those guys never camped a night in their lives and have no clue about the product they're selling.

I would of had to say something. Probably " What the heck does the wrong cap have to do with a lift?"
