A shot in the dark but it is worth a try. I have a 2012 F150 XLT with the basic center stack radio with Sync. The issue is that my truck was built for the Canadian market so Sync is lacking some features the U.S. market trucks have.
This is where you guys come in. I am hoping someone with preferably the same year XLT would be willing to look up their as built and PM me their apim info or even send me their VIN and I could look it up. I want to compare my apim code to the U.S. model apim codes to see what is different and if I can make some changes to get mine to work with the options that the U.S. models have.
I will check it and compare it to mine. Thanks. I started to use the old thinking cap and pull a couple of VINs off of ebay trucks for sale and both of them were the same apim wise and were the same as mine except for the middle line. So, if my thinking is correct I just need to change the middle line of code to configure my apim for the U.S. market. I can't believe Ford would produce different apims for different markets. My only other concern would be the Sync software. I don't think that Ford has different software updates for the Canadian market than the U.S. market.
I pulled your as built Tom and something changed in 2013. The apim consists of four lines of code in your model year. Oh, you have the 4.2 display, don't you? That would explain things. Or I should say, "had".

Yup, that truck had the 4.2" display that I don't believe was available for 2012. "Have" is correct though, my current truck has the same system. Wanted MFT in both of them, but I'm kind of a cheap guy.
