My pump case was intact when it was removed from the engine. It cracked after I tried to take it apart to see what was wrong and didn't realize that there was a second retaining clip inside behind the gear and rubber seal.
I can't find anything on the internet that shows an exploded view.
I ran it hard the other day and the the ICP was at 3400 psi so I think things are ok.
I think that with my lack of get up and go I may have a leak in the stand pipes or something was not tightened properly on the turbo. My boost reading on my Scangauge only reads 14 psi and it sounds a lot noisier when I stand on it. I am going to try to look at it tonight to see what I missed.
What percent range should the turbo go to on the Scangauge? Mine is moving but I never monitored it before.
You got a Ypipe leak if you can hear that different noise since the work
Most common is a leak at ypipe to turbo joint
It kicked my butt the first time too after I set the turbo in That joint is the first thing I do
start the truck cold and feel around the joints for air escaping
Found the problem!! I started looking tonight and the turbo looked fine. I did find that the bolts on the driver side to the up pipe were missing on one and loose on the other. I am going to put in a longer bolt in tomorrow with Loctite.
