shifts hard

Hello all,

Need some help here, Got 2004 v10 and my truck shifts hard into 2nd gear when starting off slow. If I take off at a faster pace it does not do it. Any thoughts??

How does the fluid look? Is it burnt? Also is it low on fluid? Start there first.

If fluid checks out I would guess 1-2 accumulator spring maybe? Those sometimes go bad and cause hard shifting issues.

1-2 accumulator spring. 99% sure of it. The factory spring becomes brittle and breaks into pieces. Been through this on two different trucks with the V10 trannies. Easy to replace.
