Help with code 452
Help with code 452
I'm having an idling problem and pulled codes 411 and 412 that I believe a new IAC will fix, but also had a 452 code which applies to the VSS. Speedo is working fine and so is overdrive and cruise and shifting is normal. Last week the speedo stopped working and the od was flashing and found a burnt fuse that fixed those problems. My truck is a 94 with 4R70 trans. Will replacing the VSS sensor in the rear diff clear the code or does it sound like something else since I don't seem to have the symptoms normally associated with the 452 code?
The 452 code is from the bad fuse. No replacing the VSS sensor will not clear the code.
It will be with you for 60 startups after the fuse was replaced.
OR you can clear the CM by grounding the STI wire and then turning on the key. When the MIL starts to flash in the cluster remove the ground from the STI wire and then turn off the key. All CM codes will be gone.
Note you will still have any KOEO electrical test codes if you have any errors with the wiring and their sensors.
