OK here we go it all started with a long crank and now no fire.i changed camsensor wiggled wires got to fire , shut off than nothing . Changed wire from cam sensor to about 6" from ecu found small nick in wire.Swapped ecu no good(forsale btw)
I am getting my numbers from torque app.
ficm sync = 0
RPm = 172
FLP = 12
fmp =49
Hpop = 1823 max
Ipr = 80.9 max stready at 48
ipr volt =.02 at rest
Also tested fuel pressure at filter 80 psi ( blue spring)
ficm sent to ficm repair ( thanks ed) tested good
cam sensor changed , pig tail also
bubble test on fuel filter no thing there
so any thing else to check or am i looking at a harness change?
Thanks for the help
ya thats what i was thinking. Juat didnt want to drop 600 for a new on and would you really trust a used one. be nice to borrow one to try than blow 600.Btw anyone wanna trade and ecu for a harness lol
I'd carefully check the harness you have. You know where it starts (pcm) and ends at the sensor. You can do a continuity test from end to end and find which ones are bad.
ok checked sensors ohm checks good 850 on cam 380 on crank sensor.
checking from ficm to ecu checks good.
checking for shorts to ground found pin 7 grounded , voltage supplied to start and run ??
And pin 27 grounded ficm power relay control found this odd for sure anbody have an idea on this is this normal in key off.
ok pin 7 is 12volts with key on so ughhhhh
27 is a ground ?? mine has it as control wire, o thought it should get ground threw the ficm anyway its working i have ficm main and ficm logic volts
So don't worry about that ??http://www.askatech.com/AskATechLive/forums/ResourceHandler.ashx?a=11532 I found this
And everything checks good except checking from ecu to ficm ( should be 10,000 plus ohms ) I have 5,000 ohms on pin 28 on ecu connector.
I'm at a loss , Ed checked the ficm . I'm at a loss here where do I go next ???
So should I bite the bullet and get a used engine harness and hope that's it kinda like the ecu ?? Or any ideas of what's next . I traced wires from ecu to ficm no nicks kinks etc on wires.
