Rear Window problem, Window down/motor toast

I searched and didn't really find an answer.

I need to know how to get the window up and the motor is fried. I managed to get the plug to the motor unplugged and pulled out where I could put a direct 12 volts to it, all it would do is spark and start burning the wires.

As y'all know you can't get to the motor with the window down, anyone have any idea how to get it up.

I read a post on Big Bronco.com and it said ford says you have to break the glass, I'm not willing to do that yet.

Thanks in advance,
Delos

You can unbolt the window from the track then pull it up

Are you talking about unbolting the side tracks the window runs in?

Oh and it's an 89 model

No the window bolts to a pair of tracks that is on the window regulator which moves it up and down. Unbolt the bolts from that track and window and you can pull the window up.

I thought about that but it really looks like they are riveted to that bottom window frame.

Yeah it's all the way down, not much room. I'll look at it some more tomorrow evening.

Thanks for your help

Yes, may have to use a dremel and grind the rivet off then softly push or punch the other side out

Upper picture:

23240 is the window roller, fits into the 44000 regulator, then into the 422A20 window channel.
