ok...1 more question...my local pick and pull just got a 91 f150 in that has the tail housing that i need i went to look at it and its on the 5.0 motor and my motor is the 5.8 now before i go spending more money i need to know if the bellhousing bolts are the same...i heard something bout sb and bb having different housing...thank you

The 5L and 5.8L engines are both small blocks and they share the same bellhousing pattern/size.

ok..thank you.for some reason i was thinking that the 5.8 was a big block..i been having so much bad luck with doing this...just wanna make sure imma buy what will fit now

It's tough keeping everything straight sometimes. The old 351M/400 335 series engines shared the same big block bellhousing as the 429/460 385 series engines. The 460 lives on as the 7.5L engine in this vintage truck.

Then there is the third bellhousing for the diesel engines.
