It's normally the bushing on the small end that needs attention.
I considered having the bushings replaced as precautionary if protrusion was off. They are otherwise in good shape. I'd also be much more comfortable getting new rods, but I think that is unnecessary in this case. The rods have 60k btw.
Thanks man, Ford grey seemed fitting. Seal #1 got destroyed on attempt to ease it on with the pulley. Got cocked and that was that. I don't have money for the installer, but I guess I do for a new seal (or two)

Used a metal plate to get the wear sleeve down to the crank surface, then the pulley to get it to it's proper depth on the shaft. Arps set and heads assembled. Will be looking for a large torque wrench today to finish the heads. Is there anyone local who can let me borrow theirs?

Did you consider replacing the flex joints on the y up-pipe? It would be a lot easier to do it now.
