M-chan, always appreciate your advice. By a buzz test are you meaning whether or not the injectors buzz on koeo? They definitely buzz. I'm thinking about going pin to pin on the harness though, but would I have the .8-6 FPW if my injectors or ficm was malfunctioning? I found a ficm from a 6.0 that I'll be testing. Guy drives it daily though so I need him to free up.
I've used ether in the past, just as I saw fpw appear, just a few sprays. It seems that the engine bogs down though with longer sprays. Still no start, and this is when I started digging deeper. I may be overlooking something and that's why I appreciate all of the input on this forum.
Will be visiting hf to exchange the tester today and possibly grabbing the leakdown tester but I'm in dire need of an assistant to get me at bdc of the piston. Anyone in the Tacoma Washington area who can lend a hand?
I am not TOO far away from you, but I don't know when the next time I will have a day off. Is it all back together now?
I'm also assuming I wouldn't have cam crank sync if it was off by a tooth, and possibly bent valves?
To mess with the timing you'd have to remove the crank, which is NOT a small job. Lack of sync is more likely a sensor problem than someone pulling the engine, botching the crank, buttoning it all the way back up, then selling it, especially if it was a shop job since the previous owner was clueless.
This is getting over my head. I got some motor flush today, drained my oil and left the plug out. Divided the flush fluid evenly amongst the cylinders, poured into glow plug holes and what do you know. Leaked right back out through the oil pan drain. Stuck rings? I think not, I think I got stuck with an engine with holes through at least 5 pistons. How in the world does that happen??? Gas??
I am not sure if the HF one I showed will work in our 6.0 as the head does not articulate so you might want to borrow one like you said or find one with an articulating head.

The glow plug harness hole where you poured the chemical in leads to the rocker box. So when you poured it in it drained right out to the oil pan.
The glow plug hole to the combustion chamber is deeper inside. See pic.

Crew dually,
I used a silicone hose fed into the threads to ensure my rocker box was dry. Also, having the valve cover off I was able to monitor the red fluid siphoning down into the cylInder.
The following steps will be taken to disprove a possible false analysis:
1) egr inspection for signs of leaked coolant into the cylinder
2) borescope inspection
3) root cause analysis, injection failure, bubble test
4) head removal, gaskets, studs, possibly ndt for the heads
