You're not really asking that are you? Okay dealing with hostility again as usual, the reason I wanted to know what the Springs were so I didn't have to add air bags if they were four thousand pounds Springs. There's not a super duty in the world that's made especially an F-350 with plow package that can't handle a 9 .6 V extreme blade especially a diesel for god sakes it's what they're made for ,not just Towing boats to campsites. I was simply trying to find out what the spring was because Ford makes it completely complicated year to year out of my own dealers mouth it took him a day to call the ford technical line to get the right answer that's why I want to know. Even if it were only a 4000 pound spring I would have definitely upgraded too higher springs not to deal with airbags that are useless Timbers they put between the springs if you've ever commercially plow you could be in the truck for 12 to 14 hours had enough with airbags always losing air.i am sure my 5.4 only had the 5600 pound Springs they were useless had to add air bags will never do that again. When plowing there is a lot of stress on the front of the truck pushing into snow Banks air bags and timbers don't hold up take care

All I did was respond to your Why? Post. Maybe it wasn't me you asked why, I dunno, it's hard to follow the posts.

If you're installing a plow that is too heavy for your truck it seems to me that purchasing aftermarket springs for the front would be necessary, maybe you should just weigh your truck and add the weight of the plow, then you'd know what spring to buy.

I've been running air bags over my rear axle for about 9 years and over 500,000 miles and they've never leaked. Doesn't seem right that the front air bags would be so problematic.

Don't confuse hostility with inquiry. I'd be happy to demonstrate hostility, just not here.

Yes you're demonstrating your hostility with the last statement you are a very balanced person I can tell . thanks you'll probably get the entire post locked. people could find out information about how to find the correct weight of their carrying capacities of there Springs rather than people just reading numbers off the spring not understanding that that is not the correct code which might have been true a few years back good day sir and in the future why not just block me rather than threaten somebody in a public forum good day

And just for your knowledge airbags do not hold up I had two sets professionally installed in the last truck over 6 years one was Firestone I forgot the manufacturer of the last one neither of them held up they both failed the Firestone seem to fail quicker. I'm a firm believer a Truck just being Solid Steel and no reason to be adding all this extra crap to a 1-ton work truck regardless whether I lifted my front end it still required leaf springs in the back one pack so it didn't sink every time I added tools and weight to be honest with you I'm probably going to add another Leaf in the back so the truck does not sag down one inch when I put 3000 pounds in the back not to increase its capacity carry just to keep the State Police from looking at me New York is aggressive on overweight vehicles. Once again I'm not worried about my ride quality it's a work truck it's always got two thousand pounds in the back regardless just in tools.
