I'm sure this has been asked a million times and I looked but I couldn't find an answer. The sticker on my door says 6000 pound GAWR front what Springs would I have on the truck then the 5600 pound or the 6000 ??? Getting ready to mount my plow just want to make sure I can do it with the added weight of the diesel engine in the front I'm worried about the extreme V 2 9.6 . It wasn't a problem for my 5.4 but I had beef that up it weighs close to 1044 pounds it's a lot of weight up front thanks again
thanks anyways but you are all wrong went to dealer today in Albany 6000 pound springs number changed for 2016 it was a nightmare to find cross reference that number on my truck and this is what he came up with lol ford why so hard ??? take care
Just a quick update went to my actual dealer today where I purchase the truck they had no parts guy yesterday. Basically the number on the spring is a engineering number you have to enter it into the system each year for a truck to get the proper number and they're different part number for each side and of course changes year-to-year I just don't get it but the good news is I have to six thousand pounds Springs, he said it's very rare that a 11500 pound truck would have less Springs doesn't mean it can't happen but especially with the upgraded plow package once again thanks for everyone's help this is extraordinary research even the dealer had to go through to get the right number take care
