I've had my TS chip with TW tunes for years... Thing is I only use 1 tune.. The regular Tow setting... Every other makes the trans act strange.... Almost like its searching for gear.. I have economy, daily, street, plus a stock tune and a heavy Tow... The street tune is super strong but the trans bangs into gear, and in traffic it searches for gears and seems like it wants to lock and unlock the converter at weird times... I've tried several times to get a hold of Tony to get the chip back to him for a different tune setup!! Can't get a response... Nothing has changed on the truck since I've had him do his tunes, with the turbo or fuel, or trans... I'm thinking of sending the chip into DP for a Reburn. Thoughts on paying for someone else's tunes as aposed to getting Tony to reburn for free??
I know Tony has recently had a personal tragedy so he has been MIA dealing with it. Not sure if you tried to reach him a long time ago, or just recently, but that may be why. I have never dealt with him, but several people I highly respect on this forum have and can't say enough good things about him. That being said, I have been running Jody's tunes in one form or another for 8+ years. Several different versions at this point and he has nice shifting characteristics as far as I am concerned.
Email him. My truck shifts absolutely perfect with his tunes, but I've got the third pedal installed in my truck so that may have something to do with it.
The wife has some of the same tunes in her auto. The tow tune does seem to have nice shifting, and I like how it keeps the torque converter locked and downshifts as you slow down. Other tunes seem to shift later than I would prefer for normal driving, but would be more suited to aggressive driving. Of course the reason I drive a stick is because I know if I'm driving normal or aggressive. A torque converter doesn't.
I've rode in or driven trucks with Tony's tuning. Matt's Tuning, Jody's tuning, David's tuning, and Cale's tuning. My opinion is autos don't shift right. A shift kit does help some. So does understanding how your tuner acts and driving accordingly.
But I'd still say email Tony first and let him know about the shift issues you're having and see what he offers before you spend any money.

I've emailed him 3-times in as many months.. I've called at least 5-times and got the voicemail everytime... I do want to have Tony see if he can massage my tunes a bit, I bought 5-useable tunes!! I would like to be able to Use more than one tune, the trans does not like the economy, daily, street tune as well as the heavy Tow tune.. I know for sure the trans is fine as it works perfect in the tow and stock tune... I'm not angry! I love the way the truck runs with the tune I have... But I'd like to be able to use the others as well... I'll keep trying Tony to see if I can get him the chip.. If I get nothing from him I'll send it to Jody..,,,.

So on the setting Tony says is a daily tune and a street tune, the truck has a delayed 1-2 and 2-3 shift and it will downshift when slowing down!!!!! Is this my towing settings???? If this is in fact my tow tunes, I've been normal driving and towing in the Daily tune.. Not that it was bad.. But I never even tried towing in the other tunes that tony had as daily and street... The truck feels super strong in the (now what I think is Tow tunes). Totally confused now!! Even more so now that I believe he wrote the settings down wrong..
