Scangauge SLP code

I can't find it but I say on this forum where someone was running torque pro and getting transmission slip percentage. I have a scangaugeII and in entered the codes for slip and I am getting nothing. Just wondering if the scangauge can read it.

I have a 2000 dually

The 2016 OBDII thread will have the information. I've been reading Torque Converter Slip on many OBDII apps for years.

Thanks Tugly, it seems to working now. I found one of your old postings "Torque Converter Slip
Short Name: Slip
PID: 2211b8
Units: RPM"

I noticed that the codes from Scangauge had 2211BA on the end of the transmit and receive codes. I changed the A to a 8 on both and I am getting a reading

Don't know for sure if it is correct, what are typical readings for idle in gear, changing gears, cruising at 60 mph and hammer down.

I set my gauge MAX to 1000 because it makes a better image on the dial under normal circumstances - like idling in gear at a light. TCLU should be under 10 if the math is right (you can't get zero because of the data sampling rate). Neutral in the driveway shows something like 400-500 (I can't remember the exact number), in gear at the light should match your RPM, 300-400 RPM slip while driving without TCLU unless you're loading the engine up (like in Permagrin mode). The driving slip numbers are not precise - I'm going off memory, and I haven't been driving Stinky much lately. Idle in gear and TCLU numbers are very accurate in my memory - those are the two modes I have spent more time at.

One thing's for sure - you'll get to know the behavior of your torque converter under different driving conditions real soon.

Mine reads 0.04 in low gears, accelerate and goes up to 0.09 for a flash. I did see 0.11 coasting. So far just one short drive, will keep an eye on it. Scangauge does not log data like the other, but I like it.

You're off by many decimals, if using RPMs as a unit. I think where you are reading .04 you should read 400, and the .11 should read 1100. What happens if you put a X1000 in the formula?

There is no formula.
I say another post, and they were using a tablet, it showed 0.7 for slip. I am thinking it is % of slip
