Timing cover reseal...

Well Brian Convinced me to pull my timing cover and reseal it...I have the gasket kit...

However I just realized I have never seen one taken off.... From the looks of the few pictures I have seen, it looks like the hpop has to come off, is this correct? any hints or tips on that?

Not only that you got to consider the oil pick up tube its attached to the cover too.

Well I took the hpop off upside down...boy was that fun...

pan, water pump, and balancer all came off with ease...

Cover had definite signs of oil/water mixing...

Thx Brian!

Mostly back together, didn't get the oil cooler or HPOP back together but the pan is on and sealed along with the timing cover.

I bet you did but just checking, you made sure to bolt the oil pickup tube back right?

I read somewhere where someone forgot to do that...... man that would be a total disaster.
