Ok, I replaced almost every part of my 3 speed column shift linkage. It was working great for a while, until one day it just wouldn't go into first and reverse. I could shift it by hand inside the engine bay but the column shift would get hung up. Since I read that body mounts could cause issues, I replaced those. Even though they needed replacement, that didn't fix the problem. Since that didn't work I tore the column apart again.... Well, it turns out that the sleeve inside the new shift tube had broken off, causing the issues. My question is what's the part number for a 3 speed manual w/out power steering, how does it differ from the power steering one, and where can I get one other than Lmc. I would like this one to last longer than 2 months
You should post the year of your truck, it makes a difference.
The power steering column is shorter than the manual column so the shift tube is also, it won't interchange.
