I put a new Edelbrock on my 400 in a 79 F-350. I have been looking at one of these AED throttle bracket assemblies:
My question is around what to do with stock throttle cable. Ya know the rod with the split tongue and wire going to the carb?
I was thinking of going Lokar, but not sure what ya do at the firewall. Keep the existing deal and adapt the Lokar to it (somehow). Do a whole new pedal to use a cable from the ground up? I have a manual tranny so no need for kickdown assemblies.
Anyone mess with anything like this? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.
