Thats strange, if you have a road draft tube you would have a pre 62-64 block. Trying to determine the HP would depend on what heads you have. Truck engines had lower compression heads as compared to passenger car engines..
Not uncommon (considering all the mods) to have a C2 series carb on an earlier block. Don't worry too much about it sitting for 12-13 years. Mine sat idle for 30 and it's running now. Check it out:
Ok well the road draft tube would now make sense since i looked at the casting above the oil filter. The casting reads " ECZ 6015 C ". So again, with the little bit of research that i have done and if i read it correctly, its a 1957 312 or 292 depending on the main caps. So i guess i really cant tell for sure unless i open up the bottom end. Is that correct? Thank you guys for your help.........Jason
But i also read that '56 & '57 312's had 4bbl carbs, this one does not. So i'm gonna assume that its a '57 292
ECZ-C heads are good one's to have. The valves are bigger that the standard heads for a truck Y-block. This results in more horsepower. Post a picture of the water pump, with the pulley off and we can tell if it is a car or a truck engine. The truck engine has a larger shaft than the car engine had and the shaft sticks out farther.

Truck on the left, car on the right:
Yeah I'm not sure what heads are on it. I'll have to see if I can find where the casting #'s are on the heads. It wouldn't surprise me that with nothing matching or being stock that maybe they are different heads than the block. I'll get a pic of the water pump. Thanks Walston.....Jason
Walston, thanks for the info. According to the water pump shaft it appears to be a truck engine. Im still looking for any casting #'s on the heads. Alot of grease and grime. Are the head cast #'s readable with everything assembled in the truck with the exhaust manifolds on?
If I remember correctly the head numbers are under the valve covers. Try removing a cover. I agree it is a truck engine. Mine is a 60 and the vent tube goes out the rear. Check where the crank case vent is located.
