Ac condensor help

I'm having my ac system totally redone.
My buddy is doing the work while I'm on the road working.

He txted me the other day to inform me the condensor O'oreillys sells was physically wider than what I have in the truck now.

And they only offer that one part #.

Did Ford use different size condensers in these trucks?

Mine is a 92 f150 302 five speed 4wd regular cab short bed with ac already installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

The condenser you have, if original, is for an R12 system. If the condenser OReilly sells is for R134a, the physical dimensions might he different.

Thanks for the reply.
I didn't think about that, mine was never converted over to 134a.

My friend said the mounting points are different, do we just have to make new mounting points?

I looked at the difference in the condesners. Outer dimensions are the same between the two refrigerants. Mounting brackets should be the same. Look for one on RockAuto.com

More Information for APDI/PRO 7013605

How can I tell if it will be a direct bolt in?

Do you have a brand and part number for the condenser that O'Reilly quoted you?

Hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like it should be the right one. If you aren't in a hurry, take it back to O'Reilly and get the one from Rock Auto. Or go to the Four Seasons or Spectra website and look up there part number. I've always had good luck with Spectra premium and Four Seasons parts. Besides compressors

Well my buddy had a good used unit that I decided to use instead. Didn't like the fitment of these aftermarket ones.
