Would I lose any load capacity,I have a lsd now would posi be better?
Yes the semi floating axle rear has a lower capacity then the full floating rear diff. The semi floating rear has one bearing per side and it rides on the axle shaft. The full floating rear has two bearings per side and they ride on a spindle. It's much stronger then the semi floaters.
LSD, posi, same thing different term.
If you do the swap and are in Minnesota, I'd be interested in your old diff.
OP, I'm doing the exact opposite swap on my 4x4 van. It should be plug and play and you can simply bolt on your old brakes if the donor axle is 99 or more recent. You'll want to make sure it's also from a van so the bolt pattern is the same (ie., 6.5/8). You may need a shim or two on the spring perch to line up the pinion.
I don't think Woodberry is anywhere close to Arizona but I'm going to have a semi-float D60 with 4.10 gears for real cheap in a week or so.
