1950 windows and vents
Are there any links on installing both? Having no luck searching. After 7 hours and one vent window installed but so tight with new rubber that it won't close I'm feeling a little defeated.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Installing the glass is not my issue. Own a glass shop so very familiar with glass tape, it's the whole getting it back into the door that is making me feel like a fool.
Thanks ahead

I just did the driver side in my 52. I realized I should have done the glass AFTER the vent window and division bar were in.
My window wouldn't close because the glass hit the division bar. I had to re-position the glass in the vent frame to have a proper fit to the seal on the division bar.
Everything else was pretty straight forward. I used Dennis Carpenter vent seals and anti-rattle kits.

I left the division bar loose after I installed the vent glass. I made sure that the glass pushed all the way up into the vent frame. that tape can get a little messy. I used a little wd40 on the door glass. I got it saturated and placed in the channel then rolled the glass up and let the pressure from me cranking it up set the glass and seal into the channel and left it set overnight. I did roll it down to make sure it was working good before I left it overnight. I dont know if it was the right way, but it worked for me. The best thing that worked for me was to just leave that division bar loose. Especially the top. I didn't even put the screw in at the very top. just the 2 bolts on the bottom and I left them really loose.

My vent window install didnt go very well it is crazy tight and is hard to get closed all the way but im going with it like it is. My truck is no show truck.
Im puttin in all new manual cranks as the old ones were automatic and didnt work. To get the glass back in on the main window do I try to slide it up the division bar and vertical door channel before setting the new crank? It seems to not want to go in. All the pieces and parts from the old and new dont match as the PO must have robbed the window channels from another vehicle to match up to the automatic operator.
Just cracked my other side vent glass mounting it into the channel with glass tape. Man this job is really trying to whoop me!
Again any and all pointers would be appreciated!
