One of the options circuitboard medics offers is to send you a FICM Tuner. That way you can try the various FICM tunes and decide for yourself which one works best for you and your set up.

Yes indeed. Loaning out a FICM tuner is another route to go and another service that we offer as well.

We're pretty much a one-stop shop. We carry everything you can buy over the counter at Ford and nearly everything out in the aftermarket space as well. From MBRP, Magnaflow, and AFE exhaust, to Warren Diesel injectors and suspension kits, we've got you covered - just for less. In fact, we spend a fair amount of time talking folks OUT of buying things that they just don't need. I suppose that makes us a 100% less in those cases.

This is an excellent option! Wasn't aware you guys did this as well.

This option was sure nice when I was deciding on the PCM tune & FICM combination.

Alright, with your guys confidence boost, it's out and ready to ship to Ed. Not as bad as I thought it would be! I will wait until the motor is completely cool next time. I can see getting the plugs back in being a pain in the ***! Thanks again for all the suggestions. I will report my findings from Ed once I get it back.

Agreed, it seems like these trucks take a while to fully cool down. I can't believe how much I was going to pay in labor for the removal and install. I can say who ever suggested laying on a pillow is a damn good idea! And a few towels go keep from scratching the bumper and paint really helps out. The chair really helps out with my new to me 35's on 20's that have been sitting for weeks waiting to be installed.

I apologize for the pics, they show correctly on the site via my phone, but when I look on the computer they are not...

Ed, that's what I call amazing customer service and education on the beast we call the 6.0. You taught me more about my trucks system in 20 mins then I have researched over the last few months. Not to mention the y pipe/egr delete. Thanks again!

Rich, how do you like that Economy tune after 6 months of driving with it?

My question to either Circuit Board Medics or Ed @ FICM repair. What is the cost involved with you sending out a FICM tuner to me for experimenting on my truck? How does that process work?

Very happy , finally got to tow the camper & trailer a few times the last 6 weeks. The combination of the economy FICM tune & T Wildman's tow tunes keep the EGT's under control so I don't have to back off the throttle due to EGT's. She's been running great - I think she's all set for the camping trip to Colorado in 2 weeks.

Finally getting better MPG's than I was. I thought I was always going to get 12 mpg being a dually and all. But with the new tunes & summer fuel I'm enjoying the 15-16 mpg's unloaded at @ 70 mph. That's if I can control my heavy foot and the speed limits are 80 mph on the highway

It's just the cost of the tune itself - $150. Pretty easy.

Sweet, I'll be doing this very soon. I just bought an 05 6.0 and the guy said it had an "economy tune" put on the FICM when it was replaced but I have no idea whos tune or if it's actually done. Will your tuner overwrite whatever is in there now?

Yes, but out of respect of the original poster's wishes on this thread, I've sent you a private message. Apologies Thor'sHammer!
