Still need alarm help
Still need help, repost from another thread.
Still having problems with alarm. Background: 2001 Excursion, 7.3 diesel, limited edition.
Happened again in the middle of the night. Alarm went off. I have set the sensitive level according to direction found on the forum to the lowest level. I've been manually locking the doors so as not to set the alarm. After it goes off, I find the little red light (not the alarm light) is on and I have to push the reset button hanging under the dash. There is a click and the red light goes off. I would just as well disconnect the alarm althogether but I've heard that the alarm mod is connected to the engine start. Would still like to use the FOB. I disconnected both batteries for a few minutes and reset the sensitivity.
Anyone have an idea what to do with this? Thanks, Rick
