Kind of off topic but have a camper with a uncomfortable couch in a slide over the wheel house on a platform. Anyone have a lead on how to replace with some type of reclining seat/recliner. Have been thinking of something along the lines of expedition 2nd row seating.

You can look at low clearance, zero clearance or wall hugger reclining chairs. Basically whatever you can fit in that spot in regards to furniture will work.

Then your options are limited and don't include household style furniture.

I would check with a local upholstery shop to see if they can help you out to fix what you currently have. Different fabric, foam or structure. My grandparents had a shop and there were a number of choices when it came to foam. I worked in the shop during summers but I only got to make the buttons.

I have had stuff upholstered, but it cost as much as buying new from RV manufacturers. Search the Internet, lots of manufacturers available.

Buttons huh? I could see that catching on as a nickname.

Me and my big mouth.

Hey, are you going to trust a 10 year old to run a commercial sewing machine? My fingers would have been sewn into cushions more than once.

First time out this last weekend for 16, rained for 4 days. Watched lots of new dvd's, my butts killing me. Going to get some denser foam and try it on the dinette first, going to have to go with a pro on the sofa though.

You will get it right, just keep at it and once you do, even if it is raining all the time it is still a lot of fun.

Do a web search for 'jack knife' sofa or bed. Many that we looked at needed a base of some sort which you would have to make up to fit over a wheel well. No idea how comfortable they are but doubt that a recliner option would be easy to find. Our last TT had one similar to what you are describing - the fresh water tank and pump were underneath.

OK, thanks for the idea. I was so happy with the 6.2 and the way it pulled over the old 95 F 350 barely bothered by the rain and was looking forward to driving home.
