Kind of off topic but have a camper with a uncomfortable couch in a slide over the wheel house on a platform. Anyone have a lead on how to replace with some type of reclining seat/recliner. Have been thinking of something along the lines of expedition 2nd row seating.
You can look at low clearance, zero clearance or wall hugger reclining chairs. Basically whatever you can fit in that spot in regards to furniture will work.
I would check with a local upholstery shop to see if they can help you out to fix what you currently have. Different fabric, foam or structure. My grandparents had a shop and there were a number of choices when it came to foam. I worked in the shop during summers but I only got to make the buttons.
First time out this last weekend for 16, rained for 4 days. Watched lots of new dvd's, my butts killing me. Going to get some denser foam and try it on the dinette first, going to have to go with a pro on the sofa though.
Do a web search for 'jack knife' sofa or bed. Many that we looked at needed a base of some sort which you would have to make up to fit over a wheel well. No idea how comfortable they are but doubt that a recliner option would be easy to find. Our last TT had one similar to what you are describing - the fresh water tank and pump were underneath.
OK, thanks for the idea. I was so happy with the 6.2 and the way it pulled over the old 95 F 350 barely bothered by the rain and was looking forward to driving home.
