91 4.9 Ignition issue
I have scoured the forums looking for this particular issue, and have not been able to find a similar case. So if this has been covered, can someoen kindly just point me to that post?
91 F150 Lariat, extended cab, 4.9 auto overdrive with fuel injection.
The issue is that the ignition switch will not turn on, and I have lost all power to the dash (Lights etc) . It was running fine, and suddenly stopped. stared up one more time after towing it home, suddenly died and has not fired since.

So turning the key gets nothing, not even a click.
I have tried cranking it from the solenoid , it cranks, but does nor fire.
So the starter is good, and the battery is charged.
Coil is new, and so is the ECM, so that's not the problem,
Have not yet checked to see if it gets spark (Can't crank it and check a plug at same time alone.)
My suspicions are that the ignition switch itself is bad, and perhaps the fuel pump[s] are also bad.
I figured out that the 91 model has no fuse link box under hood, and ford uses fusible links from solenoid/battery instead.
Anyone encounter this set of circumstances ? thanks in advance for any help
Sorry, the headlight Do come on. It just wont fire if I use the solenoid to crank it, and the ignition switch wont turn anything, all dash lights are out, but headlamps work
I guess you meant the cluster warning lamps.
So you either have a bad Ignition Switch the item on top of the column down near the floor board or it has a bad plug or no power to the Ignition switch.
If it is no power to the Ignition switch then it still sounds like a loose wiring connection.
Maybe at the battery cable connection at the starter relay.
