F1ZE-AA spring selection
Ok fellas got the cam ordered. Went with the xe264h 35-349-8 comp cam again. It will go in a gt40 block with 80,xxx original miles. Got the heads off and now im going a different route than the recommended spring on that cam by comp.
Engine is bone stock except for the cam and
1.7 crane rocker arms.
The drop in springs if they are still available will they do me good?
Oh by the way the last combo i was using e7te's with the reccommended spring(987-16). 94 maf 5.0.
Am i lookin at .512. With that cam and rocker ratio.(1.7) or not? That cam says its designed for 1.7 ratio but in the cam specs it says..
"Advertised Duration: 264 int./270 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.512 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.512 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.512 int./0.512 exh."
So if i am at 1.7 ratio is this correct
.512÷1.6=.32
.32x1.7=.544
(Lift÷1.6)=lift× 1.7= magic number?
Its late my eyes hurt. Proof read as much as i could.
