There are a lot of posts previous to yours. What or who are you referring to? Or you could start over and tell us what transmission you have, what problems you have with it, and what transmission you want to go with? A newer 5 speed? What year truck do you have? F150? 2 wheel drive?

Have the same tranny in my '81. Just rebuilt the engine and it's hard to not over rev in 2nd because of the lug when I go to 3rd too low. Glad it's not just my imagination.
