Window rubber?
From the factory they used Butyl tape but over time it dries out and you can get leaks between the glass & tape.
Now days they glue in the glass, that is the only thing glass shops by law I am told can use, no more Butyl tape.
You can still get the tape and it comes in different thicknesses I think ours uses 3/8" but check to make sure if you are going to set the glass yourself. You will need 2 people to set it in place because once it touches the tape it is stuck there.
BTW maybe your windshield leaked and someone tried to seal it and that is what you are seeing?

The previous owner changed the windshield. I suppose they used a special kit for this (glue). But according to you, its normal that i dont have some kind of rubber on the outside of the windshield. Rain drops in between the outside of fhe windshield and the chrome stripe and is then also discharged through drainage channels?
Also there is drain channels in the corners to let the water out but they are only 1/8" and get plugged with dirt so they dont drain.
Then the dirt acts as sand paper and sands the paint away and you get rust.
Now I guess with the glue it fills up to the lip so nothing can sit behind the molding so guess less rusting?
