There are screws just above the bumper and below the turn signal, two of them I think. Silverstars are nice but when I had them in another truck they would burn out after about a year. That might have been due to the daytime running lamps though come to think of it. You can buy the bright bulbs through advance autoparts online and use a discount code and get 20% off if that helps.
HOLY MOLY ARE SERIOUS ???? YOU ACTUALLY BOUGHT A TRUCK THAT WAS NOT A FORD & YOU EVEN ADMITTED IT !! It's in the ether now you can never take it back. I CAUGHT YOU!! DID YOU KNOW GM was SUED over EXploding gas tanks That did not EXplode. Now, PINTO's on the other hand
I appreciate all the options except for the peanut butter one. My neighbor saw me smearing peanut butter on my lenses. I know he thought I was a nutjob before but I think I have just confirmed it. I am popular with the neighborhood dogs though.
I am going to pull the lenses out of the 03 and switch them over and buy new bulbs. I don't want to modify anything. I am looking for plug-n-play. Any tips for the brightest bulbs that are reasonably priced?
Besides the 2 tabs that slide up, is there another catch? I couldn't get them to come out. I know I am missing something.

I had a 1999 F350 that I ordered with my fleet number that had running lights. They could only be ordered if you had a fleet number at the time. I don't know about now.
They are a PITA. Every vehicle I've had with them goes through bulbs every year to year and a half. The driver's headlight on my Jetta is a real PITA to change so I fixed that problem.

Check whatever you want. I ordered the truck myself with EVERY AVAILABLE OPTION except shift on the fly. Camper package, towing package, PTO provision, even a rear bumper because it wasn't standard.

Harley, please ease up on your aggressive humor. I don't think you mean for it to be as abrasive as it seems to come across.
I appreciate you masking your disagreement and not overtly attacking, like some places might allow, but even a post that's dripping with sarcasm can cause friction and drama.

Did you ever use the PTO & if so, for what ???
Never used the PTO provision. I didn't even know what it was at the time. It was an option and I checked it. The case is set up to add a PTO for a tow truck or something I guess. 15 years later, I find out if you want that trans, you will pay a lot extra for it.
In all honesty looking back, I wished I kept that truck.
